4 month sabbatical in New Zealand

Our preference went out to the Explorer:

We were looking for a camper with a certain layout for our 4-month sabbatical in New Zealand. We preferred the Explorer. Compact with 5.98 m and everything you need, you don’t need more. After extensive consultation and considering the various options, we decided to rent the camper at Bay of Islands. 4 months is a very long period of course, we even considered buying a camper instead of renting it. But we opted for unburdening and minimizing risk.

No regrets:

We have just returned from this great trip a week ago and we have never regretted our decision. More than that: we think that Bay of Islands campervans has made our trip even more complete with excellent guidance, tips for sightseeing and the very high level of equipment of the almost brand new camper. The camper is equipped with spacious bedding, towels, crockery and kitchen utensils. And in addition, the necessary sunscreen and insect cream for New Zealand. Seats, table and gas plate are also included.

At the major rental companies you have to rent bed linen and chairs and tables, here it is included.

Try not to plan too many highlights:

For people who still have doubts about how to divide the time: take enough time for the North Island, an island with many faces. We have done 9 weeks on the North Island and 7 weeks on South Island (Incl. Stewart Island). Do not overlook the driving times from A to B and take you’re time. Try not to plan too many highlights during your trip, but take extra time to enjoy the bays and deserted beaches. Rob and Nick can and want to help you plan your trip, make use of it! Have fun with your trip.
