Thanks to Nick and Rob we had the “trip of a lifetime”. From first contact they were helpful and informative and seem to have thought of everything. Being met at Auckland Airport after that horrendously long flight was a blessing. We enjoyed our first views of NZ whilst being driven up to Bay of Islands, dinner and excellent B&B the first night – what better start to our adventure! The campervan was spacious enough for two and the comfortable fixed bed didn’t have to be made up every day. A good guidebook helped us plan our daily travels and overnight camping grounds and the brilliant satnav got us there easily (except for the odd time it crashed and decided to revert to Chinese!). Having the tourist radio (linked to gps) meant we visited a couple of interesting things we would otherwise not have known about, and learned about each area we drove through. The van was very well-equipped, and other campervan travellers were very envious of our “on-board” wifi which worked almost everywhere. It was quite magical to keep in touch with friends and family over Skype from so far away – and especially at the time of the tragic helicopter accident when people were understandably worried that we might have been involved, having been in the area at the time. We motored all the way down the East coast of the North Island, over to the South Island on the ferry and around the majority of the South Island before handing the campervan back in Christchurch and flying home to the UK from there. This company may not be the cheapest but they are fantastic. When our windscreen developed a crack quite out of the blue, they quickly organised for it to be replaced whilst we spent the morning at the fabulous Te Papa museum in Wellington. Can’t recommend them too highly – they ensured that the time, effort and cash that we invested resulted in a magical experience that we will never forget.
